We started from an idea. An idea of a facilities management company that can deal with the full management of your site in one space. This thought then evolved. It changed from a concept into a promise, and from a promise it became our company name.
The facilities management industry has become outdated. Many of the old systems and technologies used today are the same ones used years ago. Unfortunately, older systems require a lot of work from you. Although the management of your site is outsourced, old systems and services make you feel like you’re still doing most of the work yourself.
Our solution to this industry-wide problem was to research and invest in the latest technologies. New and improved ways that we can manage your site without you needing to do any of the legwork. This technology mixed with our belief in creating strong relationships is the ethos behind One Space.
A strong history
We were founded by three people who all brought their own unique experiences in property to the table: Joe Darcy, Amanda Cook, and Alex Jowett.
Amanda and Joe have a background in design after starting up a successful commercial design and build business, DesignTonic. DesignTonic focuses on creating beautiful commercial interiors and has worked for renowned companies like Leeds United and The Yorkshire County Cricket Club. With their keen eye for detail and knowledge of designing luscious, smooth running commercial units, Joe and Amanda bring more to the table than your average property manager.
The third partner, Alex Jowett, brings practical experience to the team with a background as a charted surveyor and a degree in Real Estate. Alex has experience in all aspects of commercial property, including managing his own properties and the properties of clients.
By combining this experience with our local knowledge and connections, we have the ability and the talent to smoothly manage the operations of even the largest facilities.
